My client is a market leading machinery manufacturer actively seeking a Control Systems Engineer with to fully program and electrical design fully automated systems. They are a friendly office that takes care of its staff. Engineers will get the opportunity to further develop their skills and look towards senior responsibility. There is a significant recruitment drive within the business and presently they are looking for Control Systems Engineers to join their development team at their site based in North Yorkshire. This is due to growth within the company and it expanding its current product.
Responsibilities for the Control Systems Engineer include:
- Develop PLC software
- Develop HMI/SCADA software to standards
- Approve electrical drawings
- Be involved from pre-sales concept to verify engineering viability
- Review functional design specs prior to design & PLC programming
- Create test documentation to validate installation and system functionality
- Testing and commissioning of systems on site
- Participate in team and project reviews
It is likely that you will be HND or Degree qualified and have several years relevant experience gained as a Control Systems Engineer or in an Automation or Process Control environment. You will have strong PLC Software Design or PLC Programming skills which may include Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley RSLogix/ControlLogix although other PLC experience will be equally considered. You should be IT literate with common Microsoft systems and should have the ability to interpret technical drawings possibly with basic Autocad skills.
