Your new role
You will oversee the delivery of multiple contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company's procedures and objectives are achieved. You will take overall responsibility for programme planning, ensuring they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays. Meetings and deliver pre-start meetings will be conducted with the site teams ensure a commercial plan and end of life forecast is in place and monitored monthly for the successful commercial delivery of the project. You will analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts and work to delivery any form of value engineering possible with on site teams. You will ensure weekly review of progress, budget resources and forward planning are carried out, and look ahead programmes are in place. Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production with stakeholders of all levels. You will ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent design to meet the requirements of each project, and by example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice. This is a key opportunity to enter a Construction Team that will allow you to work with increased autonomy and implement the process and procedure you see fit to deliver to the highest of standards.
What you'll need to succeed
You have extensive experience managing projects within a city centre environment, working within tight time scales, which may include heritage projects. You have a sound working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting. You have an up to date SMSTS, CSCS card and have experience working on Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for a number of multi-discipline projects. You have excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor. You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both customers and all levels of staff and you work well under pressure and when faced with problem solving, you methodical and technical knowledge will be useful.
