Commercial Insurance Account Handler

£25,000 - £30,000 to experience + benefits

North of Southampton

Well respected and established independent firm of Insurance Brokers.

  • This is a great opportunity for a pro-active experienced Commercial Insurance Broker, who would like to play an integral part growing and developing an existing portfolio of commercial client accounts.
  • While this an office based role, there will be opportunities to meet face to face with clients.
  • The team you will be joining provide the full broking service across all aspects of new and existing business, for a mixed portfolio of small, medium and large Commercial clients, from a wide sector of businesses.
  • Providing comprehensive competitive quotations from a wide panel of Insurer offerings; speaking with Underwriters to obtain the best cover and terms.
  • Responding to day to day queries on existing business, adjustments, extensions to cover; identifying opportunities to cross-sell or generate new leads and referrals.

Skills/experience required:

  • Current/recent Commercial Insurance Broking experience
  • 3 years + experience, to demonstrate the range and depth of product and market knowledge required. Offering a good product knowledge across all major classes of business - including Commercial Combined, Commercial Property Risks, Liability (PL & EL), Business Interruption, Commercial Motor etc.
  • Cert CII or progress is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills - confident to build a rapport with clients at all levels.
  • A customer focussed approach, with a can-do approach to service and sales.

Hours will include a Saturday morning on a monthly rota basis.

Central town office location, with good train, bus links and road links from various locations - North Southampton, Eastleigh, Andover, Winchester, Basingstoke.
