Sales Engineer - Machinery Certification
Homebased UK Wide
£45,000, Bonus OTE £10,000 and Company Car

This role is a high profile business development/sales role within the company, working closely with the Business Line Manager of the Industrial Products/Machinery business. The role will require a sound knowledge of all the machinery services, as well as the drive, commercial skills and technical credibility to build significant customer relationships and achieve business targets.

Essential Criteria:
  • Commercial / sales background
  • Self-driven and results orientated, with a clear focus on high quality sales and business profitability
  • Excellent communicator / negotiator / influencer
  • Comfortable dealing with customers and prospects at all levels
  • An in-depth knowledge of PUWER and CE marking requirements for the Machinery
  • Ability to learn and understand the technical aspects relating to machinery inspection and certification.
  • Experience of international compliance requirements, for example CE marking and EU
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft
Desirable Criteria:
  • Engineering background and qualifications
  • First-hand experience of compliance testing, certification or assessments
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actively listen to customer requirements, arrange customer visits where appropriate, identification of cost effective compliance solutions, upsell opportunities and generate orders to satisfy defined net sales
  • Maximise profitability by utilising dynamic and value pricing
  • Fast and effective handling of telephone, email and web generated enquiries in line with local

  • Collate and feedback of any market and competitor intelligence obtained during the course of the day to day
