Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well known established manufacturing business based within the Wetherby area.

This is a newly created permanent position and will support the long standing existing team.

You will join a developed, knowledgeable, busy Finance team and will have full exposure to the accounts payable process from raising invoices through to processing payments.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive business that encourages employee development and training.

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger process, this includes:-

- Matching, batching and coding purchase invoices.
- Ensuring all invoices are billed and approved correctly with the correct VAT treatment applied.
- Dealing with queries and first point of contact over the telephone.
- Regular reconciliation of supplier statements to the purchase ledger.
- Maintaining relationships with both colleagues and clients.
- Processing expenses on an ad-hoc basis.
- Sorting and scanning post.

You will:-

- Have previous experience of working within a fast paced and busy Finance team with accounts payable experience.
- Be able to prioritise your workload and work to strict deadlines.
- Be confident with the full Purchase Ledger process.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working within a busy, dynamic Finance team is preferable but not essential.
