Newlife Healthcare Recruitment are proud to be supporting a large, national client who provides support for thousands of people with learning and physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, autism and other needs

They offer person centred care and support in a range of settings, and have experience of enabling people to move from a residential setting to a more independent supported living environment as their needs change. Their mission is to create an environment that promotes independence and positive outcomes to make a real difference to people’s lives.

With over 400 care homes and 20 rehabilitation centres across the country, they offer a range of specialist services such as supported living and outreach support, residential services, respite services, day services, brain injury rehabilitation and Intensive support services.


Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to cover the London area. It is essential as an Operations Manager that you have previously managed learning disability services across London, live close to London and have a proven track record of managing a team of Managers and services in the learning disability sector.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead and develop a portfolio of 7 services and provide professional expertise to your team of Managers. You will build strong links with local authorities and other external bodies.

Commercially focused and able to offer guidance and advice, as the Operations Manager, you should be committed to quality assurance and to developing and expanding the services in the area.

We are looking for an Operations Manager who can make a difference. You will have a genuine passion to deliver high standards of care and have an excellent understanding of the learning disability market in order to explore and maximise on new business opportunities and services across your region.

To apply for the role of Operations Manager you will hold the following skills / experience:

  • Thorough understanding of the learning disability sector
  • Multi-site experience, ideally within the London or surrounding areas
  • Experience of liaising with local authorities
  • Working knowledge of relevant care standards and legislation.
  • Motivated with the ability to maintain close links with professionals
  • Possess well developed financial and people management skills
  • Sound business acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage change
  • Experienced in a similar role, well organised and confident in your own abilities.
  • Hold a full UK driving license
