Your new company
You will work for a leading housing provider who are looking to expand the development team with a project manager.
Your new role
You will be responsible for sourcing and delivering high quality housing schemes across all tenure types that meet the targets set in the Business Plan and all funding, regulatory and statutory requirements, reflecting the needs of both internal and external clients.
To support the Development Manager in ensuring cost effective and efficient delivery of development schemes.
Effective Project Management of all aspects the development process from inception to final account, including delivering the requirements of the Development Company.To identify new sites / schemes in accordance with the companies development aspirations, undertaking feasibility studies / financial appraisals. You will assist in preparation of bids for external funding and develop relationships with the HCA, land agents and developers. Co-ordinating the production of cost estimates, schedules of work, tender and contract documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of developing capital projects, understanding of the development process and carrying out options appraisals of new multi-tenure development opportunities. Knowledge of project management processes, acting in a client role with project teams with diverse roles and expertise and experience of managing
a varied range of projects, delivering them within time, cost and quality. Demonstrate a general knowledge of housing policy and housing markets and understand government policies affecting the Trust and the wider housing sector. Experience of tendering, appointment and management of professional consultants. experience of bidding for funding from external sources and ability to ensure compliance with any funding conditions.
Experience of undertaking and monitoring scheme financial appraisals e.g. ProVal/Sequel, providing monthly cash flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators. Knowledge of contract procurement, contract management and effective negotiation skills.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £29000 - £35000 depending on experience plus car allowance, flexible working and benefits package.
