Our client is an independently owned hotel, conference and events venue at the heart of the beautiful town of Guildford, Surrey. They have a 2 AA Rosette award winning Restaurant, Bar, 8 State of the Art Meeting Rooms, 2 Function Bars.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to join their award winning kitchen team. The hotel is rated as 4 Silver Star standard by the AA and more importantly for this position, the restaurant bears 2 AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence.

Our client is seeking a Sous Chef who shares their passion for delivering an unrivalled level of service. You will need to be highly motivated to work in an environment where exceeding the expectations of the customers is the minimum

We are looking for a passionate, driven and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our proactive, friendly management team to expand our F&B operations and achieve 2 AA Rosettes with a focus on Weddings & Events.

-To report directly into the Head Chef and work alongside the other departments and colleagues in the F&B team;
-Working successfully with other people and departments is key to our overall success and includes building lasting relationships with the C&B Team, F&B and Front Office.
-Being an excellent communicator is essential to the role as is experience across a range of different F&B outlets and products; it is also important to have the right balance of hands on leadership mixed with planning and effective organisation. -Working in Guildford and being a large conference venue means they get a very diverse mix of guests and clients so they always have to 'flex their style'.

Sous Chef Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years as either Senior Sous Chef/Sous Chef level at an establish venue with AA Rosettes
* Team management to provide strong direction
* Previous Hotel Experience
* Experience of managing a multi-outlet operation
* Strong background in training and developing junior chefs
* Excellent communication and team work skills
* A robust leadership style that inspires others
* A creative eye and passion for food

They are also looking for a Sous Chef who has a positive can do attitude, is enthusiastic and passionate, consistently professional, friendly and attentive, interested, driven, genuine, loyal and honest.
