Product Development Engineer Braintree Salary circa £27,000
Working for a leading manufacturing company supplying equipment to the medical, industrial and scientific industries the Product Development Engineer will work as part of a small, multi-disciplined team to develop products from concept through to production.

Duties:
Evaluate the feasibility of selected concepts to meet functional and customer needs.
Generation of Schematics & Engineering Drawings (3D Solid Works)
Generation of Bills of Materials
Be a link between design and engineering teams.
Responsible for technical development of products from concept to production.
Ensure products and systems meet performance and service needs of customers whilst remaining commercial aware
Plan documentation, training, spare parts, technical knowledge transfer and supporting installations. Contribute to product launches, monitor early stage installs, and support Engineering teams.
You will work as part of a dedicated team, reporting to the Business Development Manager
Material selection and supplier sourcing
Liaising with customers and other departments
Risk Analysis (inc. FMEA)
Procedures development and transfer of process & product to Manufacture
Test development (test protocols) and tooling development
Verification, Validation and Report writing
Customer returns Investigations

Skills & Experience:
HND or Degree qualified in an engineering subject
Multi-disciplined Electronic/Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
Project management with customer facing experience preferred
Design experience with 3D solid works will be essential.
NPD Engineer/Project Management experience designing high tech products preferred
Strong analytical problem solving skills with good interpersonal skills.
Office based with the possibility of international travel.

Benefits:
Hours 8.00am 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am 3.45 Friday with ¾ hour lunch and two tea breaks.
