Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a well-established and reputable client within the manufacturing / engineering industry and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their team. This is a full time permanent opportunity.

The Role:

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Team Leader will be assist with the effective operation of the accounts department, specifically managing a small but extremely busy team within Accounts Payable.

More specific duties will involve:

Accurately processing high volumes of invoices and credit notes to suppliers accounts within specified deadlines
Accurately reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis (back to invoices processed)
Dealing promptly and efficiently with all invoice queries to ensure prompt payment of account
Processing supplier payment runs
Communicating with suppliers in a professional manner to achieve consistently high levels of supplier relations
Liaising as appropriate with other departments
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate filing systems for all administration and suppliers correspondence, to ensure ease of access to information when required
Pro-actively contribute to the day-to-day management of Health & Safety within the office, in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policy, to ensure a safe working environment
Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts
Undertaking, as required, any other duties in keeping with the general nature of the position
General Office Administration
Conduct back-up Receptionist duties as required using multi-line phone system, professionally and courteously

Train, mentor and support junior members of the team

Manage all direct line reports in accordance with Company procedures and standards
Ensure all Company policies, systems and ensure procedures are adhered to
