Cubed Resourcing are working closely with a world leading, international manufacturing business that currently have an opportunity for a Project Documentation Engineer to join their Engineering Team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this will be a technical role of an administrative nature however over time the position will evolve to become more varied including the adoption of project management responsibilities.

Our client have a presence in over 70 countries with a number of highly-engineered products which are a key component in numerous industries. This well-established company has seen significant revenue growth with output rising from £31million to circa £130million within the last 6 years.

This role has been created due to ongoing expansion of the business, meaning the creation of a new Engineering team and will be based from the company’s production site accessible from Hebden Bridge, Huddersfield, Halifax, Oldham, Rochdale and Burnley.

Key responsibilities:

- Writing/creating IOM (installation, operation and maintenance) manuals for industrial processing equipment
- Compilation of CE documentation (ATEX reports, CE certificates)
- Liaison with notified bodies on CE legislation
- Compilation of project documentation
- Creation of SOP documents to define standard operating procedures within design office
- Creation of BOM’s using SAP
- Project Engineering duties under guidance of Senior Project Engineer
- Site surveys and site survey documentation
- Ensuring that the company’s strict IP policies are adhered to at all times

This position would be suited to someone currently in a similar role or a mechanical engineering graduate with a few years’ experience either within the design, project engineering or technical administration departments of an engineering company.

Key requirements:

- Educated to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or related subject (Chartered Engineer status would be desirable)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a mechanical engineering company
- Good understanding of project documentation/manuals & BOM’s
- Excellent IT proficiency including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and SAP
- Knowledge of the mining, aggregates, plant design or processing industries would be a clear advantage
- A motivated self-starter that is open to progressing and developing within a growing department/organisation
