JOB TITLE

Financial Controller

DEPARTMENT

Finance

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Day to day management for, and responsibility of, of all aspects of the company’s finance function

RESPONSIBLE TO

Chief Financial Officer

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • Monthly management reporting (management accounts, year on year comparisons, KPI reporting)

  • Management of year-end auditing process, production of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors

  • Driving the annual budgets and rolling forecasts

  • Maintain all the company’s financial records

  • Banking & working capital management

  • Cash forecasting

  • Management of sales and purchase ledger, daily treasury process, cash flow forecasting

  • Development of Navision functionality

  • Maintain the asset register

  • Customer invoicing and payments

  • HMRC liaison (including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE)

  • Support CFO and other members of the management team

  • Management of the Finance team

  • Setting appropriate internal control policies and ensuring robust controls are in place across the business

  • Continued development of improved MIS to ensure better financial data

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Excellent MS Office skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling

  • Full accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with at least 3 years experience in a Financial

    Controller position

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge including FRS102, revenue recognition, R&D tax credits and

    capital allowances awareness Desirable

• Experience of working with Navision & Jet reports
