Key Stage 2 Teaching role at a Social, Emotional and mental health Primary Academy.
Your new company
This primary school has a specific duty to educate children with SEN; specifically those identified as having 'Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties', (SEMH) and Challenging Behaviour. They are committed to ensuring the children placed with them make good or better progress and achieve well through addressing the details of Statements of Special Educational Needs/Education, Health and Care Plans, and coordinating the support work of the LA and other agencies external to the school.
Your new role
This Academy are looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher who is exciting and enthusiastic and committed to helping the provision become outstanding. The school are looking for a teacher who is focused on creating a positive learning environment for children and enabling them to achieve their academic and social emotional potential. You will be responsible for a small class of children with a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum along with experience of teaching pupils with a challenging behaviour. You will have the ability to engage positively, manage and motivate pupils with challenging behaviour.
Being able to develop and implement effective strategies to improve pupil behaviour and learning with high expectations of the pupils. You must be flexible and adaptable, have excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret data.
