The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Power / Process) to be based in Leeds. The Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Power / Process) represents an excellent opportunity to come into a world leading, blue chip organisation where there are excellent opportunities and development.

This role is not shift work, but Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm.

The Role:

The Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Power / Process) is a strong opportunity for an established professional . You will be carrying out maintenance around the facility involving calibration, fault finding, installation and routine maintenance of all electrical, control & instrumentation equipment and associated systems on a facility that runs 24/

  • Maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Inspect, repair and maintain all types of LV electrical plant, apparatus and control gear
  • Work with a wide variety of instruments such as pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, level, flow, pressure transmitters, proximity sensors, thermocouples, RTDs,
  • Maintain files for all control, instrumentation and electrical equipment using the CMMS
  • Liaise with and oversee contractors carrying out EC&I work to ensure compliance
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies - ISO EN9001,EN14001,EN18001.
  • Assist the maintenance/operation team to achieve collective objectives and goals.
  • On the job training of Apprentices where appropriate/applicable.

The Person:

For the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Power / Process) we are looking for an educated engineer who has experience around PLC & SCADA / DCS systems. Ideally, you will come from a power or recycling but we will look at people from a process / manufacturing background or something similar.

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship - ideally HNC educated
  • Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques associated with electrical control systems.
  • Good understanding of and ability to interface with PLC & SCADA/DCS architecture to basic programming level.
  • Experience gained in a continuous process industry.
  • Experience of HV Apparatus (desirable).
