Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to use your exhibitions experience? Our client is seeking an ambitious and experienced Event Manager to join their fast-growing, UK-based consumer-focused events company.

Main Purpose of the Job:

Managing the day to day running of the event, providing input into the sales and marketing plans. Helping to create the event strategy as well as undertaking a key sales role managing key accounts and selling to sponsors. Additionally, you will be helping to manage and develop the internal and external teams including the operations for the event and helping to manage the entire budget for the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing show budget

  • Input into selection of show contractors

  • Helping with the sales, marketing, operations, PR etc

  • Face to face sales with some telesales

  • Sponsorship negotiations

  • Managing marketing and sales materials - creation, signing off etc

  • Manage Sales & Marketing Teams

  • Understanding of total debt management for the show

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Exhibitions, preferably B2C and in the travel industry would be an advantage
  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Management and mentoring skills

  • Proven experience of managing show budgets

  • Proven experience of understanding and inputting into the whole event - marketing, operations, PR etc

  • High level of face to face sales with some telesales

  • Presentation skills

  • Sponsorship negotiations

  • Good understanding of show and exhibition industry

  • Experience of managing Sales & Marketing Teams
