  • On time and high quality delivery of consolidated financials within the European group to the US stakeholder;
  • Completion of high-quality quarter-end analytical templates to the US;
  • The individual will be a key point of contact for the US Financial Reporting Team. The individual will play an active role in management of this stakeholder, including identifying and responding to their needs;
  • Maintenance of strong ledger reconciliations (by entity) between UK GAAP and US GAAP submissions;
  • Involvement in the audit relationship in support of the wider Group Reporting Team;
  • Involvement in financial control improvements initiative, which is a key 2017 objective for the Financial Control and Reporting teams;
  • Control of setup process for new ledger and analysis codes;
  • Maintaining and reporting key schedules for in scope SOX compliance areas;
  • Supporting the group reporting function on its other external reporting including European consolidation and regulatory reporting.

Job description:

  • Submission of US reporting for UK entities
  • Delivery of key analytical templates for US quarter-ends
  • Co-ordination of key financial control documentation for US purposes
  • Ownership of the delivery of in year objectives aligned to required performance standards
  • Influence, shape and execute solutions to realise objectives
  • Effectively uses all resources to ensure optimisation of delivery
  • Engages positively with stakeholders
  • Constructively challenges drivers for change and takes ownership of change activity ensuring implementation is timely, to quality within budget and risks are mitigated.
  • Identify PI/CI opportunities both embracing and encouraging change
  • Ownership for the delivery and management of TCF initiatives to ensure fair customer outcomes
  • Manage risks, including identification, mitigation and controls within department/ span of control
  • Day to day management of systems and controls aligned to regulatory responsibilities
  • Ensures positive engagement with stakeholders internally/ externally
  • Drive and support a compliant and customer centric culture
  • Builds on capability and talent opportunities for all staff
  • Drives delivery through the engagement of people and cross functional teams
  • Engages employees by demonstrating company values and behaviours and ensuring key business messages are cascaded where relevant
