Newlife Healthcare Recruitment are proud to be supporting a large, national client who provides support for thousands of people with learning and physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, autism and other needs.

They offer person centred care and support in a range of settings, and have experience of enabling people to move from a residential setting to a more independent supported living environment as their needs change. Their mission is to create an environment that promotes independence and positive outcomes to make a real difference to people’s lives.

With over 400 care homes and 20 rehabilitation centres across the country, they offer a range of specialist services such as supported living and outreach support, residential services, respite services, day services, brain injury rehabilitation and Intensive support services.


Our client is looking for a Registered Manager to manage their service based in Neasden, London. The service, which was is rated as "overall good" with CQC, supports 7 individuals with a severe learning disabilities. It also has facilities to meet the needs of people with a physical disability and can offer respite care and support.

As a Registered Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager and will have experience of working in management capacity within learning disabilities. You will lead a team of support staff to promote individual’s independence and enable them to exercise as much choice as possible on matters relating to their daily lives.

The Registered Manager will be committed to leading and developing a team of staff to ensure that each person receives care and support that is consistent and at a high standard. You will identify any specialist training required for your team and ensure they are equipped with the correct level of experience to carry out their duties.

As a Registered Manager, you will have experience in the following:

  • Previous experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Management experience in a learning disability setting
  • Excellent knowledge of care standards and regulations
  • Medication management, overseeing and writing care plans
  • Commercially aware and ideally some experience of managing budgets
  • Attending meetings with external bodies, families and service review meetings
  • Dealing with client referrals , assessments, reviews and report writing
  • Leading and developing a team, including staff training, supervision etc

Ideally our client is looking for a Registered Manager who has completed their Registered Managers award, or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or Children and Young People’s Services. If you have a strong management background, however, have not completed this qualification, and willing to complete it, our client can look to support you with this.
