A leading business based near Manchester City Centre are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. As a General Ledger Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of periodic financial reports, financial analysis and commentary
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on general ledger accounting matters
  • Reconciliation and review of accounts and ledgers
  • Ensure correct classification of amounts in P&L accounts and correct classification of assets and liabilities
  • Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with quarterly forecasting and annual budget process
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, statutory tax packs, and tax returns
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and cash flow reporting and variance analysis

You will have:

  • Strong experience of General Ledger Accounting in a European environment

  • Fluency in a European language is highly desirable

  • Ability to work cross functionally and interact effectively with other departments globally
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, Sarbanes- Oxley, USGAAP and local GAAP

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy essential
