This role is perfect for an experienced Geography Teacher that is looking to progress within a thriving department or an NQT that is looking for an exciting opportunity that will fully support your Induction Program.

The Position

The successful Geography Teacher will be joining this secondary school in September on a full-time, permanent contract and you will be required to deliver the National Curriculum up to GCSE and make positive contributions to the department and it's vision. The classes you will be teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4 are of mixed ability and you will therefore require to manage differentiation efficiently.

Your timetable will be solely Geography and you will have the opportunity to use a fully resourced department in order to plan lessons and obtain the necessary materials that you feel will benefit your students. The school have a laid back approach to how teachers wish to deliver their lessons and believe that their teachers should use the method they feel most effective and that they are most comfortable with.

The Geography Teacher

To be considered for the post of Geography Teacher, you must have a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status following the completion of your teacher training. You will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to confidently teach Geography up to GCSE within a fast-paced and energetic department that is renowned for getting the best out of its students.
