Give the next generation of engineering entrepreneurs the connections to get ahead

Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.

You will play a central part in encouraging the next generation of engineering entrepreneurs as you assist them in establishing professional connections across our Fellowship and Enterprise Hub networks. Specifically, you will deliver far-reaching programmes to promote these initiatives, oversee marketing and outreach, appoint experts to review and selection panels, and liaise closely with mentors to identify evolving needs. At all times, you will carefully track budgets and expenditure, produce detailed management information, and partner Hub members to ensure they enjoy the support to succeed.

This is a stimulating, high profile position, demanding sound project management experience and strong commercial acumen, backed by broad knowledge of the UK’s enterprise and engineering communities. Needless to say, you will bring excellent time management skills, a high level of motivation and drive, and outstanding interpersonal and influencing abilities. Finally, a background in enterprise, research or engineering would be an advantage, as would familiarity with supporting entrepreneurs or SMEs to achieve growth.
