Our client based In Birmingham is a professional services client based in Birmingham looking to recruit an Events and Marketing assistant.

The role is varied and busy and will have a strong events focus. Your role will entail:

  • co-ordinating and project manage events, including: Seminars; Hospitality; Awards; Charities; Sponsorships; Conferences and Exhibitions

  • Accurately capture, schedule, budget and organise individual event activities

  • Co-ordinating and assist with circa 70 seminars per annum

  • Organising flagship events

  • Assisting with and co-ordinate over 150 other hospitality and sponsorship events per year

  • Liaising with Practice Group Managers, Barristers and partners to plan and deliver activities

  • Co-ordinating event suppliers

  • Proposing and present events for group consideration

  • Coordinating sponsorship agreements ensuring deadlines are met

  • Co-ordinate members of the marketing to attend events, ensuring they run smoothly and assist with pre and post event administration. In addition you will evaluate and report on activity conduct debrief feedback sessions with stakeholders

  • Liaising with internal regarding upcoming seminar notes, PowerPoint for talks and events.

On the marketing side you will ensure consistent branding on marketing materials across all locations and write copy for digital and traditional channels. You will ensure all marketing literature is proof read and approved before distribution and liaise with the marketing agency to manage projects ensuring deadlines are met .You will assist in website content and marketing projects.

Applicants must have previous experience of organising events at a commercial level. Some supporting Marketing experience would also be useful.
