Job Titles:Electro Mechanical Engineer

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary:Up to £33,000 plus Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for you to join an industry leading company at an exciting time in their history, with continued growth and development. As the Electro Mechanical Engineer, this role will offer you progression, training and a chance to join a prestigious, well respected organisation in which you will be enabled to reach your full potential.

The Electro Mechanical Engineer role sits within the development and workshop support team and will offer real diversity and variety, where one minute you'll be in the lab undertaking some emergency electrical repairs on a test rig and the next you'll be discussing and project managing brand new test rig build requirements with the lab team. Strong communication and project management skills are at the heart of this role as you'll have constant interaction and engagement with internal clients at a variety of levels, from technicians to senior managers. This role is perfect for an electro mechanical engineer with some electronics understanding, who is able to apply their technical ability in a hands on development focused role.

Your primary role will be based in the development workshop, initially learning how to build and maintain existing test rigs, design electrical schematics and drawings using the latest safety principles and then order parts and build the systems into the test rigs and diagnose the cause of breakdowns, complete repairs or provide solutions as well as liaise with external suppliers or contractors.

As the successful Electro Mechanical Engineer you will need to have an electrical design/engineering background and machine maintenance experience. Workshop/machining skills would be useful but this can be trained on the job. You'll be qualified to at least HND level or a specialist skill/qualification in an electro mechanical or electrical engineering discipline, City and Guilds Parts 1, 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering. Also any professional qualification in one of the following disciplines would be required - Electrician, Electronics, CAD for electrical drawings, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Conditioning Specialist or similar.

You will need the skills to build relationships with internal teams, understand their requirements and then deliver this work autonomously as well as managing multiple projects.

As the successful Electro Mechanical Engineer you will receive excellent training that will see you become an integral part of the testing team as well as providing you with opportunities for progression and development within the business.
