About Our Client:

Established, respected Independent Chartered Accountancy Practice with one of the largest tax teams in Surrey, seek an Advisory Tax, Manager.

The firm is a General practice with a huge variety of clients from Corporate Groups to HNW individuals & SME / OMBs.

The tax team is known for it's stability & length of staff tenure, this role is newly created due to the high volume of existing & incoming advisory work.

Job Description: Advisory Tax, Manager:

Role is newly created due to growth. The firm is creating a lot of advisory work to add to high existing levels. The 2 x Senior Managers, do a high proportion of advisory & they need support.

The content of the role is flexible. The role can be full or part-time.

Your background can be personal, corporate or mixed.

The role will report predominantly to the Tax Partner. Though specialising in advisory work, the firm are looking for a candidate to fully integrate with the tax team.

Alongside your own advisory work (which will be moulded to fit your experience & aspirations), you will also allocate some elements of your work to more junior staff & review this work. You will also likely become a technical resource within the firm/department in some advisory areas, where you are particularly strong.

Examples of recent advisory projects include: company valuations, company reorganisations, acquisitions and sales, inheritance tax, personal income tax and capital gains tax planning for individuals and partnerships, dealing with HM Revenue and Customs enquiries, tax investigations, establishment of share option schemes, research and development relief tax claims, trusts & estates planning and the preparation of specific tax advice and reports.

The Successful Applicant

Advisory Tax, Manager: As this is a newly created role there is plenty of flexibility in the background of the successful applicant.

Advisory experience is the most important element for the successful candidate; CTA, ACA or STEP qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

The bias of your experience could be either in corporate or personal tax.
