Position – Business Development Executive/ Hotels

Salary - £22,000

Key Responsibilities:

- Be responsible for maximising sales of all bedrooms at the hotel, by means of up-selling, VIP packages, Corporate rates etc.
- Daily evaluation of online booking tools such as , compare our rates and availability against our competitor set and load rates accordingly to increase occupancy levels.
- Seek new online sales opportunities to increase hotel awareness and drive new customer base.
- Proactively seek new clients who are looking for bedroom nights in the local area and negotiate corporate rates.
- Assist in exceeding the hotel bedrooms budget

Corporat Sales:

- Maximise revenues through research, prospecting, company visits and show rounds.
- Prospect for potential new clients and identify the decision makers in order to increase business within the Corporate and Events department.
- Develop strong relationships with the local corporate market to grow loyalty and awareness of all hotel services.
- Constantly seek new opportunities to drive sales and maximize revenue from all departments.
- Conduct show rounds for current and new clients.
- Account manage key clients – encourage additional sales from existing customer base by gaining additional contacts within the organisation and promoting other departments and services.
- Maximise use of the hotel sales system- complete daily sales activities within Opera and record and communicate results.
- Track and record activity on new business progress.
- Access conversion rates and identify key opportunities in order to increase result.
- Build a strong working relationship with all departments to increase product knowledge and maximise overall Hotel revenue.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to maximise sales and drive new ideas in order to increase sales.
- Providing competitor and market intelligence and contribute this information to sales meetings.
- Identify opportunities for new campaigns and offers

Person Specification:

- Must have previous experience within a similar Business Development role with a 4/5 star hotel property
- Organised and able to meet deadlines and a developer of long term relationships.
- Fully aware of and implement health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures
- Attend training on a regular basis and attend statutory training when required.

- To maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues.
Drive and a car owner is essential due to the location of the hotel.
