New job in Manchester for Centre Manager offering £35k - £40k in the retail sector.

Your new company
You will be working for a private sector company who are looking to appoint a Centre Manager based in Manchester. You will be working in the retail sector managing one large shopping centre site. Responsible for promoting the reputation and profile of the Centre by forging effective working relationships with Tenants and local stakeholders. You will focus on excellent customer service for both occupiers and visitors, and you will oversee operational and technical service delivery to ensure the Centre is safe place to work and shop.

Your new role
The retail park you will be responsible for is 164,000 sq ft and the shopping centre is 442,000 sq ft.
Duties include: Ultimate responsibility on-site for the delivery of operational and technical service delivery; ensuring high standards in line with agreed KPIs in respect of cleaning, maintenance and repair, security and presentation. Complete regular and thorough site inspections, arrange and supervise maintenance works and review operational practices and procedure to ensure best practice and compliance. Review service processes to identify cost efficiencies. Develop effective working relationships with all tenants at both store and regional level to ensure tenants comply to lease terms and ensure operational procedures are fully implemented. Establish effective lines of communications with retailers through regular contact and forums to share information, trading performance and encourage active participation in centre marketing activities. Contribute to the formulation and review of the annual marketing plan to promote the centre.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong retail background and proven record in a similar role. Good commercial judgement; ability to develop awareness of commercial issues and provide sound support and advice. A knowledge of financial and budget management skills would be an advantage. Strong leadership skills to act as an ambassador for the Centre and within the local community for relevant bodies and forums. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
