Account Manager - Captive Asset Finance

Our client is the finance division of a global manufacturer of construction equipment and machinery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with proven sales skills to join an established company and brand. The sales area covers Berkshire, Hampshire, and west London/M4 corridor. The role is home-based within the sales territory and requires self-motivation and the drive to achieve challenging objectives in a competitive industry.

As Territory Account Manager you will:

  • Maximise your territory sales potential to our client and their potential customers through effective use of all sales and delivery resources available.
  • Manage and develop excellent new and existing customer relationships.
  • Work closely with Dealer Sales Teams to coach and train in the effective use of selling with finance sales techniques and use of point of sale pricing tools.

Job Role - Information and Requirements:

  • Specialist in Asset Finance - responsible for business delivery and financial performance on the territory by serving our client's customers well and providing solutions which are best suited to meet their individual needs and in accordance with the company’s customer charter.
  • Responsible for promoting finance products to customers purchasing our client's construction, industrial and agricultural machinery and achieving challenging performance targets.
  • Maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships as well as developing a portfolio of new customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulation, policies and procedures. Good awareness in the areas of anti-money laundering, data protection, fraud, consumer credit, Know your Customer, treating customers fairly etc, would be helpful however, training will be provided.
  • Working closely with our client's dealer sales personnel within the territory to help identify equipment sales through their sales-aid finance products.
  • Team working as part of a regional team consisting of two Territory Managers, reporting to the Regional Manager, and our client's head office-based Direct Sales Team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, good attention to detail, numerate, accurate, thorough, with good organisational and time-management skills, and a good working knowledge of hire purchase and leasing.
  • Ideal candidates will have proven relevant experience in the asset finance and/or financial services sectors.
