Background
Our Client is the largest independently owned TMC in the UK. It has a rich 36 year history. They are all about “Business Travel Your Way” which is delivered through the “Perfect combination of Service and Technology”.

They compete with, and win against, most large & global TMCs on a daily basis. They are large enough to be credible but small enough not to be burdened by bureaucracy. This is one of the most exciting times in their history.

This position has come about due to the departure of the incumbent who has been with them some 5+ years. They are now looking for someone to join the team who will take them to a new level by helping to continue a journey of renewal and innovation. They are looking for someone with fresh ideas and perspectives but is pragmatic enough to help bridge where they are today to with where they could be.

About the Candidate
The correct candidate will:
- Have between 3-6 years’ relevant experience
- Will be assertive but work well in teams i.e. will be able to come up with ideas/concepts and
drive his/her own work agenda but all the time knowing they are part of greater whole
- Will have a personal inclination to self-develop out of a genuine interest in what they do and what the market is doing.
- Will be articulate technically but also able to convey ideas to non-technical staff
- Comfortable to work to deadlines
- Solution-oriented with a true “can-do” mindset (very real and important)
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Will be able to hit the ground running day 1

- Support, maintain and enhance the front-end functionality of applications with special focus on customer facing applications (web or mobile)

- Support key internal applications i.e. CMS

- Contribute new ideas and solutions to existing issues for the apps within their area of responsibility. These ideas need to be “do-able” and delivered as part of quarterly releases.

- Provide, from time to time, graphics support to the Marketing manager

- Lead or support “special” key projects as they arise.

- Contribute to augmenting the general awareness, knowledge, and skills of other members of the development team.
