School Business Manager
The SF Group are recruiting a School Business Manager role for our Academy Trust client based in North Birmingham. The role is on a full time basis and the ideal candidate will be heavily involved in the strategy and management of the organisation. Furthermore, our client is looking for someone who has worked in an Academy/School environment beforehand and can liaise with various faculty members across the board. The ideal candidate will advise the organisation's stakeholders and Governor's in accordance with legislation and advising on budgets v spend, facilities, HR and recruitment across the board.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the ideal candidate to assist with the complex nature of the organisation, be accomplished in understanding and adhering to the rules and guidelines associated with the organisation and business partner across the different sites. Your remit will include management accounts, continual improvement of finance systems, VAT returns, budgeting, forecasting and bank reconciliations and various Business Manager functions. You will have direct involvement in Trust financial strategy and liaison with principals and non-finance personnel.
The ideal candidate must have experience in an Academy/School setting and a proven record of charity accounting requirements and the demands of restricted fund accounting. You must be able to drive as on rare occasions, travel to other sites may be required.
