Pegasus School is an independent specialist day and residential school for young people aged 8 to 19 years with severe learning disabilities, autism and associated challenging behaviour. Many of our students also have mental health and therapy needs.
Students have personalised and individualized programmes, designed by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the young person to make progress, develop skills and engage socially with others.
We are now looking to complement our team further.
Working within both the residential setting and the classroom, you will assist with a range of care: this will include personal care and hygiene as well as supporting the students’ needs during leisure activities and school holiday periods. You will be expected to work a shift pattern which will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for people who are willing to undertake a challenge and provide a high standard of care to young people.
A requirement of this position is that you undertake a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
Experience of working in a similar setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
The SENAD Group is dedicated to equality of opportunity in all areas of work, education and care. We are also committed to safeguarding those in our care - the successful candidate will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to thorough background checks.
