Haig&Co have been retained by a West Midlands business to search for a commercially and technically capable Finance Director on a part-time basis, to help them achieve their strategic goals over the coming years.

Firmly looking towards the future, this organisation has a solid footing to build upon and you can expect an appetite for the change you can bring as a Finance Director.

The Role

The position of Finance Director will lead the finance & operations functions of the business, including implementation of growth strategy, funding and optimisation programmes, creating finance and operational initiatives to drive efficiency in commercial areas with the ultimate aim of increasing turnover and EBIT.

The role will involve supporting the Board and shareholders in furthering sales and growth plans, being the financial and operational conscience of the company and providing sound financial knowledge in acquisitions.

The Finance Director will possess the ability to be both strategic/macro in their approach yet also have the ability to perform granular actions in all finance and operational processes.

To be considered, you will be a fully qualified Finance professional (ACA/ACMA/ACCA) with recent, transferable experience in a senior Finance leadership role with evidential experience of helping transform an organisation's Finance function to add significant value to the wider business.

*Key* areas the client seeks from the incumbent will be a solid, tenured and stable career history, recent experience in a manufacturing, engineering or bespoke production based business and experience of company acquisitions.

The Reward

This is a role where the reward will be measured in both impact and remuneration in the long term. On offer is a generous benefits package and basic salary of £45-50,000 in return for c24 hours a week days (flex hours).
