KennedyPearce Consulting are currently recruiting for a rapidly expanding Consultancy firm based near Croyden. The firm, who currently employ approximately 500 individuals, are looking for a Financial Controller who will be reporting into the CFO. The ideal candidate will be ACA, or at least qualified in Practice, have between 5 and 10 years PQE and have experience in managing a team. The company stand for quality and integrity and are therfore looking for an indivuadual who can uphold these values.

Key responsabilities:

    • Day-to-day management of the finance team (seven) and being the finance pivot for all operators within the group
    • Ensure the integrity of the accounts system, efficiency of financial processes, and accuracy of finance department outputs
    • Assist and manage the month-end process resulting in the timely delivery of month-end and board reports, with full balance sheet reconciliation reviews especially work in progress
    • Initiate and manage the draft budget/forecasting processes
    • Co-ordinate and manage year-end, liaising with home and overseas subsidiaries auditors and tax advisors, prepare the consolidation and draft the statutory accounts
    • Ensure governmental compliance in all reporting and tax matters in all tax jurisdictions
    • Oversee daily cash reporting and monthly cash requirements (GBP and other currencies) and produce monthly and quarterly cashflow forecasts
    • Give the sales teams bid support when necessary and the operators business decision support when required
    • Lead/support finance projects within the group, including systems upgrades and implementations
    • Support and aid the development of members of the finance team, giving leadership and feedback
    • Assist the CFO when required

Qualifications and experience:

  • ACA or ACCA with a Practice background
  • Experience with working in an SME (not essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
