Window Fitter / Installer - Sash Box / Timber Frame
Interaction Recruitment have excellent permanent opportunities available with a leading sash window installation/repair company where we require experienced timber frame/sash box window installers/fitters across South Birmingham/surrounding.
Our client a timber frame specialist and offer services including repair, double glazing, draught proofing and replacement windows to mainly domestic properties, including prestigious buildings, though some commercial work may also be included.
This role will ideally suit an experienced joiner, ideally with a bench background, who has the knowledge and experience of fitting and adjusting (where necessary) sash boxes on site.
Due to the nature of the work our client will not consider individuals whose experience is in the uPVC market, they are strictly looking for timber based experience.
Working locations are mainly across the West Midlands, mainly south Birmingham but may go further North, along with occasional travel into East Wales. Flexibility on travel will be required (vehicle provided/fuel covered). On rare occasion there may be jobs that involve working away for a short period whereby accommodation will be provided.
You will need to have:
· Experience of working with sash box frames / sashes
· Experience of installing casement windows
· Experience of carrying out minor re-glazing
· Ability to draught seal and overhaul
· Minimum 3 years site experience of fitting timber framed windows
· Established joinery background
· Must be flexible and willing to stay away periodically (only on rare occasion and accommodation will be provided)
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Valid CSCS Card (though this can be provided if required)
A vehicle plus power tools will be provided.
This is a salary/monthly pay position and will be between £20K - £28K dependent on experience. This will be discussed upon interview.
