Electrical Design Engineer
Electrical Project Engineer required with extensive industrial experience with high pressure equipment

A growing and innovative organisation on the outskirts of Manchester are currently expanding their Electrical and Control Systems team. The business are experts in fluid flow, heat transfer, variable speed, and demand-based control, the organisation are market leading in providing the most energy efficient and cost effective solutions to building professionals and owners around the globe.
Your new role
Reporting to the Control Systems team leader, you have the opportunity to within the overall Engineering team to contribute strongly to the design, development, programming, pre-sales and support of new and existing products and systems with an emphases on Mining Industrial application, such as the Oil and Gas market.
Your primary responsibilities:
- Design of electrical control systems for new and existing products and systems
- Constantly review the market for new and improved controls and instruments appropriate for the organisations products and development.
- The products involved will be high pressure equipment
- Automated test rigs at the Manchester facility
There will also be some international travel involved where RMI products are being marketed and sold.
What you'll need to succeed
Associated Electronic / electrical controls and design
Good application knowledge of PLC-based control systems (Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred)
Good knowledge of commonly-used communications protocols, in particular Industrial Ethernet.
Extensive industrial experience with high pressure equipment
Electrical Design experience using at a minimum AutoCAD, but preferably an electrical design package (Solid works electrical)
Control panel design including component specification
Creation of bill of materials
Knowledge of Variable Speed Drive Technologies and applications, ideally up to 500 kW (Siemens, Danfoss and Allen Bradley preferred).
Knowledge / experience of P + I D (piping and instrumentation diagram/drawing)
Relay logic OR Ladder logic
Create Cable Schedules
