The client is adverse, highly acquisitive, multi-division, privately owned organisation. Trading for over 35 years the company currently has a turnover of over £25 million. The division in question supplies Plant Hire equipment to the construction sector with a wide customer base including Main & Sub Contractors and general builders. They are dedicated to providing optimum levels of service and as a result of their significant buying power are able to supply modern equipment that is continually updated.
As Sales/Accounts Manager for the West Midlands, you will report directly to the National Sales Manager. Primarily the successful applicant will be judged by their success in managing the portfolio of existing accounts in the area and also judged upon the level of new business you are able to bring to the company through your existing client base and being able to build upon client relationships to increase client retention.
This role will include managing a portfolio of accounts alongside developing new business through your existing client base and looking for new clients. You will need to be good at building relationships with customers to make sure client retention is extremely high. You will have full autonomy for planning your week accordingly. This is a highly motivated, target driven role with very good rewards for the successful applicant.
You will be a highly experienced sales person with extensive experience within the plant hire sector. You will be required to know your industry "like the back of your hand"
You will be currently in a sales or account management role within the plant hire, tool hire, powered access, accommodation hire, crane hire, pump hire and lifting sector, or be an ambitious and experienced Depot Manager in those sectors seeking the opportunity to move into external sales.
You will possess well-developed people skills and will ideally have a provable track record in building and develop sustainable relationships with customers
You will be working in, or seeking, an autonomous role in which you are expected to make decisions, to react quickly, and to identify issues with customers before they cause problems.
