Graduate Trainee Financial Advisor
Are you a Graduate wishing to move into Financial Services with a progressive role to take you from being an Appointment Maker through to becoming a successful Financial Adviser?
This financial services firm nearing its 30th anniversary is looking to continue building their team of 15 Financial & Mortgage Advisers. With over 6,500 clients in the Midlands, they are embarking on their next phase of growth by recruiting 4 Graduates (or of Graduate calibre), Trainee Financial Advisers to benefit from a combination of their scale/support and their network’s slick sales process and exclusive deals.
Roles and responsibilities
You will begin your journey by making appointments with existing policy holders and potential clients and assisting existing Advisers in preparing for their meetings. Later you will be trained as a Technical Administrator which involves analysing clients’ portfolios and writing client suitability reports. The next step of your journey you will become a Client Relationship Manager / Protection Adviser, where you will be given a portfolio of 250 existing clients to service over the phone and in face to face meetings. Progression to providing Pension and Investment advice is normally around 14 months from your start date, after successfully passing your Level 4 Diploma.
Training and development
The company have a comprehensive 2-year training programme that will equip you to provide a first class, professional and expert financial advisory service to clients. To become a qualified Financial Adviser, you will need to gain the Diploma of Professional Financial Advice. This is a Level 4 Diploma qualification run by the Chartered Insurance Institute that consists of 6 examinations. The company covers the costs of the training, workshops, study materials, examinations (but not re-sits) and you will be given paid study time.

- Motivated, a natural self-starter who seeks to be challenged and stretched
- Having natural people skills, can develop rapport easily and is a confident communicator
- A clean credit record
- Live within 45 minutes commute from the office (15/20 mile radius of Coventry)
- Have a car so that you can visit clients in their homes and offices
- Starting salary of £15,000 plus bonuses
- OTE to £22,000
