Salary £19,000 - £20,000

CGC Event Caterers is the north of England’s leading caterer, with over 100 years’ experience in the provision of public retail, hospitality and event catering at a broad range of entertainment, sports and heritage venues across Yorkshire and the north. Recently becoming part of the SMG Europe group, operators of some of Europe’s premier music, arts and entertainment venues, CGC excels on large volume public bars, restaurants and cafés, as well as corporate banqueting, conferencing and event catering.

This is an exciting role which will see the successful candidate joining our Cheshire Conference and Events team at Edgeley Park as Assistant Manager but who will also spend time at the National Speedway Stadium which is part of the Sports village in Gorton Manchester. With the new season under way at the NSS and a planned refurbishment taking place at Edgeley Park 2017 is going to be a very exciting time to join CGC Event Caterers. We are now seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and versatile individual to join CGC Events as Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager.

The Assistant Manager role involves, supporting the General Manager in managing the operation of the units including the development and growth of people, sales and profits and managing the unit in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures.

The Assistant Manager role will include the following responsibilities:

- The set up and organisation of events and race meetings

- Duty managing events

- Stock ordering and control

- Cash control

- Supporting the General Manager and office team in their duties

The ideal Assistant Manager must be:

- Experienced in a supervisory role in the hospitality sector.

-Possess excellent Customer Service skills -delivering superior customer service and experience in all aspects of guest interaction.

- An ambitious individual.

- A self-starter, motivated.

- Highly organised / focused.

- Able to take direction.

- A quick learner.
