A global manufacturing business are recruiting a Procurement professional, to lead all indirect purchasing. Previous experience sourcing indirect goods and services is required, alongside excellent negotiation, analytical and vendor management skills.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Indirect & Site Services Buyer will be responsible for sourcing all indirect goods and services required by the business. The Indirect & Site Services Buyer will be required to foster excellent relationships with a number of stakeholder communities (IT, Facilities etc.) to ensure a supply chain is established that can satisfy their needs.

Specific duties of the Indirect & Site Services Buyer include:

1. Bench Marking, Market Intelligence and Supplier Selection activities
2. Identification of, and negotiation with appropriate vendors
3. Ownership of Indirect (Utilities, IT, Telecoms, Soft FM, Travel, Logistics, MRO, Packaging) procurement strategy
4. Management of supplier relationships - drive improved supply chain performance
5. Management of supplier score card and vendor rating systems
6. Support Procurement Manager in development of overall Procurement Strategy
7. Support CI and process improvement within the department, particularly relating to e-procurement tools

Specific duties of the Indirect & Site Services Buyer include:

1. Indirect, Non-Production or Services procurement experience
2. End-to-End procurement expertise - supplier selection, negotiation through to vendor management
3. Familiar with a range of indirect and non-production spend categories
4. The ability to build excellent stakeholder relationships
5. Commercial acumen, and an analytical mind
6. CIPS or Degree - desirable
