Our client, a leading agency in customer experience research and solutions, seek an Account Director to help our client become a leader in customer satisfaction and improve customer loyalty in key Markets across Europe.

Overview of the role

A senior role within the Agency responsible for developing and managing client projects designed to harvest customer opinion, analyse and deliver results via web portals and to provide recommendations how to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will have strategic, financial and operational responsibilities for your nominated accounts and to support new business activities.

This key position needs an outgoing personality and an intelligent approach to manage and expand your accounts. To succeed you will need a high degree of numeracy and tenacity and the interpersonal skills to deal with a number of client contacts simultaneously as well as coordinating internal and contracted support services. Resilience and self-motivation will be an asset as well as the ability to work to deadlines and budgets.

Key accountabilities

  • Understand the current and future challenges facing the client and drive improvement.
  • Identify, create and evaluate business opportunities within the client.
  • Prepare and deliver ongoing presentations and get involved in relevant pitch activities.
  • Ensure all client briefs are interpreted and responded to in a timely and full manner.
  • Orchestrate the Agency resources to deliver existing and new initiatives and projects aimed at improving customer loyalty.
  • Ensure that all project schedules are jointly agreed and managed.
  • Contribute to Programme development.
  • Ensure the web portal system is being used effectively by the Dealer channels.
  • Review and input into sales forecasts and monitor client revenues, invoicing and payments.
  • Deliver profitable growth and perform against agreed financial targets.

Essential Criteria

  • At least 5 years hands on agency experience
  • Experience of operating at senior management level
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience of operating at senior management level
  • Appreciates the difference between corporate and Agency cultures
  • Financial responsibility - forecasting and profitable delivery
  • Major Client/ Project planning and budgetary control.
  • Effective Client Management skills - all levels to Board
  • Demonstrable experience in significant Client/ Project development and/or acquisition
  • Understands the business concepts around customer satisfaction
  • Has sold and understands continuous research
  • Used to dealing with £100k+ plus contracts
  • Able to Deal with Corp / PLC / Multinationals
  • Capable of proposal writing and presentation preparation
  • Knowledge of web portal development
  • Able to explain and present benefits of software
  • Knowledge of web platforms
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills


  • Ideally some automotive background.
  • It would be an advantage, although not essential, if you were fluent in a European language.
