Petty Cash Officer

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Petty Cash Officer to account and monitor income and expenditure generated by services using cash, recording Donations received by cash and Service Users grants by cheque/BACS.

Key Petty Cash Officer responsibilities will include:

  • Account and monitor income and expenditure generated by services using cash
  • Reconciliation of Petty Cash Accounts daily and weekly
  • Account, monitor and record one-off petty cash expenditure required by services
  • Record donations received accurately into the finance system
  • Maintain an effective system which monitors grants received on behalf of service users
  • Maintain an effective filing system
  • Maintain detailed supporting spreadsheet to analyse key costs categories
  • Be available to cover for other colleagues within the team when they are absent

The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • Experience of cash handling within a finance environment
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent attitude towards working within a highly motivated team
  • Good communication skills
