Air Conditioning and Chiller Engineer (AC)

Location: Hampshire - Portsmouth/Southampton

Salary £22,000 per annum to £29,000 per annum, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

The Role

Air-conditioning engineers, install, maintain, fault diagnosis and repairs on cooling systems e.g. commercial A/C & refrigeration equipment such as splits, multi splits, vrv/vrf, Heat Pumps, cold rooms and chillers in offices / comercial buildings in the area

As an RAC engineer, you would need good practical skills, the ability to follow technical instructions and an understanding of safe working practices.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to

  • Air-conditioning - installing, fault diagnosis, repairs and Carrying out planned maintenance the systems that control air quality, temperature and humidity inside offices, schools, leisure complexes and other modern buildings


  • F-Gas Certificate (C&G or CITB) J11
  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Skills Level 2 Diploma in Access to Building Services Engineering
  • Level 2 Diploma in Refrigeration/Air-conditioning Equipment Engineering Technology
  • Level 2/3 (NVQ) Diploma in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems


  • Level 2 Diploma in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems
  • Level 3 (NVQ) Certificate in Installing and Commissioning Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems. Level 3 Certificate in Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Installation and Commissioning
  • Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Refrigeration Systems Service and Maintenance
