Oakleaf are proud to be partnering with one of the top 20 Chartered Accountants based in Newbury, who is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join the business on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing client’s payrolls, on a variety of cycles

  • Processing of new starters and leavers

  • Answering any queries the clients may have

  • Dealing with HMRC

  • Setting up auto enrolment

  • PAYE

  • Submitting CIS monthly returns

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 6 months - 2 years’ experience

  • Experience of working with Sage and Star would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of payroll legislation

  • Auto enrolment knowledge
