Our client, a long established manufacturing business in Halifax, wish to appoint a Senior Maintenance Engineer. They have invested heavily in the automation of their manufacturing process in recent years and as a consequence they wish to appoint a senior individual with experience of fault finding, maintenance and repair of automated machinery. Working a two shift system (6-2 and 2-10 shift Monday to Friday) you will be the technical authority for all automation on your shift. Senior Maintenance Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Lead Maintenance Electrician / Automation / Robotics / PLC

* Day to day responsibility to maintain, service and repair automated assembly machinery and robots
* Continuous Improvement activity looking at ways to further automate processes
* Technical authority on shift capable of solving complex problems and mentoring other engineers

Senior Maintenance Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Lead Maintenance Electrician / Automation / Robotics / PLC

* A recognised electrical engineering qualification
* Experience of automation in a production environment
* An emphasis on PLC, HMI and Robotics
* Knowledge of Siemens S7 and SIMATIC programming and fault finding is essential and knowledge of older systems such as Allen Bradley SLC500 would be a distinct advantage:
