Junior Sous Chef Newmarket £24k
Junior Sous Chef required – Newmarket - £24k negotiable salary dependant on experience.
Our client is based in the heart of the Suffolk countryside on the outskirts of Newmarket. A beautiful family owned pub serving rosette quality, freshly prepared home cooked food. Serving between 50 – 70 covers per night you must be competent in all areas of the kitchen and have a proven track record working in fast paced kitchens and able to cope with the demands and pressures that a busy service can bring.
Under the guidance of the Head Chef you will be responsible for your own section in the kitchen, assisting in running the kitchen under the guidance of the head and sous chefs. Other duties may include helping with ordering, stock taking and menu planning. You must have a genuine passion for food, be driven and capable of adapting to a fast paced service.
The role offers full time hours and shifts consist of 3 straights, 2 splits and 2 days off per week. Due to the location of the role you would need to have access to your own transport.
