Business Development Manager - Haulage
x2 North of Birmingham, x2 South of Birmingham - Home/Field Based
£28,000 to £35,000 Basic, Company + Bens

My client is a UK trade association dedicated solely to the needs of UK road transport operators. It is the voice of the road haulage profession, a champion of its interests and a respected partner to the broader logistics community.
They provide best in class operations, intelligence and communication aid the public's understanding of the road haulage profession, via a simple Membership package.
They provide their members with advice, information and guidance; up-to-the-minute research and a code of conduct to enhance their professional stature.

Due to exciting expansion plans over the next 3 to 5 years, four new Business Development Manager roles have been created. These positions will focus on individual territories and will be responsible for meeting with existing and also potentially new Members in order to communicate the advantages and benefits that membership provides.
In addition, you will also make them aware of industry/market trends and other business critical information which could aid their business.
This role will not suit a hard-nosed or aggressive Sales Person, it is focused on managing and developing relationships over time and providing a really consultative and supportive membership experience.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following skills and experience:

- Candidates MUST have knowledge of the UK Haulage Industry
- A consultative and supportive sales style
- The proven ability to manage a large territory - likely to be a quarter of the UK.
- Experience of selling a Membership or Advisory service would be beneficial
- Full UK Driving License
