Location: Leeds

Synopsis: A national Consultancy with over 50 years of experience within the Construction Industry is looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with Fund / Bank Monitoring experience to join their Monitoring team in Leeds.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

About the Company:

A national Consultancy with over 50 years of experience within the Construction Industry is looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager to work as a Fund Monitor to join their Monitoring team in Leeds. They work on a range of projects including residential, office, retail, leisure, education and health.

The role requires a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager who has the ability to carry out bank monitoring/fund monitoring and due diligence services to Banking clients. Current Monitoring projects range from £500K to upwards of £70M across different sectors. You will have a practical and thorough knowledge of the construction process.

About the Fund Monitor Opportunity:
The successful Fund Monitor will need to be self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. The Fund Monitor role is predominantly based in Leeds but you will be required to travel to sites and may have to work from other regional offices from time to time.

The successful Fund Monitor must be able to work using their initiative to provide professional and accurate advice directly to the Client. You will be adept at report writing. Parameters should be clearly set to support effective delivery of operations at a profit and a healthy relationship should be established and maintained with the Client. You will be passionate, flexible, articulate and concise.

Requirements for the Fund Monitor:
• Must be a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager from a PQS/Consultancy background
• MRICS is a preference
• Be adaptable at building relationships and act as a team player.
• The ability to draft reports with excellent client presentation skills and IT capabilities
• A good understanding of costs associated with construction and development procurement (i.e. planning, building control, statutory bodies and contract types).

Salary & Benefits for the Fund Monitor:
£40,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
