UK based International Company providing the ultimate leisure experience is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to run their operation based close to Birmingham. With existing operations in other European cities, the company are looking to combine state of the art digital projection facilities with a stylish foyer with café bar, great cocktails and an exciting food offering. Fitted out to the highest of standards, the cinema provide the ultimate leisure and hospitality experience to the local community in which it is based. With the ability to screen major films and hold local premieres and events, The whole offering will have a cosy, quality feel with a big focus on high standards of service.

We are looking for a self-starter who can assistant in coming up with ideas to drive the business forward and can work with the local community to develop business.

The successful candidate must be able to think on their feet and hit the ground running. We are looking for someone from a hospitality background NOT cinema as full support will be given on the cinema side.

Job Description

As Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the following:

*Day-to day running of this multi-functional cinema operation
*Marketing the business within the local community and beyond - budding up with local businesses and driving sales
*Maintaining the image of the cinema
*Ensuring the highest standards of service and presentation at all times in both the cinema, bar and food operations
*Ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and safety standards
Continually developing your team and managers through training and mentoring
*Ensuring all HR policies are adhered to
*Cost aware - focusing on ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained whilst constantly driving sales and increasing revenue whilst looking at ways to reduce costs where possible.
*Producing regular business performance reports and presenting these back to senior management
*Film buying on a weekly basis in collaboration with your Area Manager
*Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships in the local area.
Constantly looking for new ways to improve the business

Required Experience

* A background in hospitality - restaurant/bar/hotel etc - WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR SOMEONE FROM A CINEMA BACKGROUND
*The ability to run a high volume, multi-functional operation at Assistant or Deputy Manager level
*Experience of running a high volume operation
*A background and proven track record as General Manager in the hospitality industry
*The highest standards of customer service
* Strong on the HR/Training side
*Excellent communication skills
*The ability to motivate and lead a team
*The ability to run the operation as if it was your own business
*Financially aware with the ability to take ownership of the Profit and Loss
*Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
*The ability to coach, mentor and train your team to provide an excellent quality service
*Confident and capable of producing reports as requested
*Organised with good time management and the ability to meet deadlines
*Fresh and forward thinking with the desire to make you business a success
*Ability to work with the local community to drive sales
*Experience of new openings would be an advantage
*The desire to work for a growing company and with an exciting new concept!
* The ability to make decisions; lead & think on your feet
* The ability to hit the ground running & take ownership
* Entrepreneurial - ability to run it like own business

Salary and Benefits or Remuneration:

The starting salary for this role is up to £24,000 plus bonus and benefits and progression.
