A popular school located in Harrow, West London are searching to hire a Chemistry teacher starting September 2017. The ideal teacher will be innovative, enthusiastic and passionate. The school is keen to secure a Chemistry teacher to join a thriving department as soon as possible. The role includes teaching Chemistry to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4 with a specific focus on GCSE Chemistry.

As a new member of staff you will be given the freedom to teach Chemistry the best way you see fit, however in the instance you should need guidance there is always lots of support offered. Chemistry resources at the school are fantastic; the department is busy and has a blend of NQT's and experienced Chemistry Teachers which makes for an interesting and unique environment to work in. The School will accommodate induction terms for newly qualified teacher. The senior leadership team and NQT Coordinator at the school commit to making you an excellent practitioner if you are yet to finish your NQT year.

Behaviour at the school is extremely good, although, like most schools, there are a few students in a few of the year groups that have more challenging attitudes towards learning therefore you will be expected to demonstrate the correct strategies to ensure the behaviour stays at a manageable standard. The school does provide education for students of all abilities therefore creating differentiated and interesting attention grabbing lessons is a very important trait and will act as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good. Chemistry is a popular subject at this school and exam results at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 are very good.
