We lead our market, not just in terms of our customer base but also our technical solutions. We pride ourselves on the depth of our experience and the quality of our solutions and seek to enable all our teams to succeed in the workplace.
Our environment is a challenging one where each and every individual is highly motivated and encouraged to grow personally and professionally. What’s more, with colleagues from all manner of backgrounds and experience levels, there are plenty of opportunities to learn from others informally as well as through directed development.
As Senior PMO, you will work within Premium Credit’s IT change function governing our change portfolio. You will ensure that projects are tracked and deliver the agreed solutions that meet requirements and quality targets within agreed costs and timescales.
This is a key function within our business where you will undertake a wide range of portfolio management activities to ensure the success of individual projects. You will join a team of three and act in a senior capacity, reporting to the Head of PMO, and will need to have plenty of initiative to work without instruction and help enhance other team members’ skills.
Specifically, you will focus heavily on financial data and will be involved in the implementation of agreed delivery methodologies for projects, data collection and analysis. You will also take part in the identification and management of risks and issues as they relate to the portfolio.
Additionally, your role will involve:
- Ensuring that programmes and projects are appropriately governed and managed, reported on and monitored
- Forecasting demand verses supply analysis at a portfolio level and reporting a three month view of this
- Communicating updates to stakeholders and partners
- Enhancing the PMO capability through building and developing team members and evolving the governance framework
So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need:
- Previous PMO Lead experience gained within a maturing PMO
- Demonstrable experience of Project Finance
- Demonstrable experience of Portfolio Resource Management
- Experience with a variety of delivery approaches e.g. Waterfall and Agile
- Excellent Microsoft Office and Project skills
- Experience of meeting facilitation
- To be degree qualified
Articulate and adaptable, as the Senior PMO, you’ll need to be comfortable working with a wide range of colleagues and clients and have the ability to thrive within a fast-moving and changing environment. Focus and a positive attitude will be key, as will a strong work ethic.
Ideal candidates will be from an insurance, professional services or banking background and will have project management experience. Proven experience of producing steer co documents, resource planning and management and budget tracking would also be beneficial. Experience of acting as the deputy for Project Managers on projects when they are not available would be equally favourable, as would experience of implementing a new PMO.
