This exciting new role involves increasing licence penetration through ensuring maximisation of revenue and collection of payments, whilst delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have certain responsibilities, including calculating and issuing licences to allocated leads/premises from specified tariffs, and obtaining full payment at point of sales where possible. In addition to this they will need to carry out unannounced/spot check visits across agreed targeted areas to obtain evidence of music usage in premises. During these, the candidate must demonstrate a positive image of PRS for Music. In addition, they must expect to go to other geographical areas as part of a team to undertake licensing projects and complete allocated work within agreed SLAs, activity and revenue targets. A full, clean driving license is essential.

As someone with a proven track record in sales, the candidate will need to identify unlicensed premises and convert these into licences by working on allocated unlicensed premises lists and acting on assigned leads. They must be able to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal/external customers through face-to-face meetings. They will educate, advise and provide guidance to customers; ensuring that they understand and are adhering to the contractual licensing terms and conditions. They will also actively promote music within premises that do not currently use music. In addition to this they will need to assess broader licensing opportunities and undertake work to target specific market segments.

We ask that the candidate takes full responsibility for completing administration activities accurately, efficiently and timely, and are able to work in conjunction with individuals across different teams including; Credit Control, Business Systems and Contact Centre. We also ask them to facilitate the use of Contact Centre to issue a Distance Sold Licence where able/applicable. They will need to provide acquired information regarding licensee and/or previous licensee to appropriate teams where applicable and complete any other tasks/projects as requested by their Manager/Director.

In addition to the above, the role includes the licencing of all churn leads allocated within a timely manner (allocation dependent on value) including acquiring information regarding previous licensee to Revenue Collections where applicable.


Being analytical with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office software e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will be a great advantage in this role.
