You will be working with an established housing and support provider within the south west, providing and advocating independence and support to vulnerable people.
Your new role
As a project worker you will be working around the Totnes area working with homeless service users, focusing on prevention. This is a permanent role working full time 37.5 hours per week. You will be working with homeless service users providing intensive management, giving them support on rent arrears and tenancy management, preventing them from homeless and focussing on how they manage their houses. As a project worker you will be signposting and lasing with relevant agencies when necessary. As a project worker you will advocate independence for homeless service users providing help and support when necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as a project worker you must have relevant knowledge working with homeless service users within supported housing. You must have strong communication skills, working with vulnerable people in a professional manner. As this role is working with vulnerable you will need an enhanced DBS or the documents to produce a DBS on your behalf.
